Marian R. Staley, 99, of Zanesville passed at 7:20 A.M. Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at The Oaks at Northpointe.
She was born on Sunday, April 27, 1924, in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of the late Clarence Durant and Elizabeth Soller Durant.
Marian was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She graduated from Philo High School in 1942. Marian enjoyed playing cards, dancing and going to senior center.
She is survived by two children, Sally Paul and Sondra (James) Northrop; three grandchildren, Jim Northrop II, Ann Marie (Ryan) Tackett and Mandy (Tom) Roberts; six great grandchildren, Jim Northrop III, Alexa Northrop, Nicholas Taylor, Hailey Taylor, Hannah Roberts and Hayden Roberts; two step great grandchildren, Ryan Tackett and Ava Tackett and special friend, James “Cricket” Petho.
In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin J. Staley; four siblings, Ralph Durant, Glen Durant, Theresa Salahub and Eleanor Brock; and a great grandson, Dalton Allen Roberts.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Ralko officiating. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
